Mediation

Mediation is a supportive, voluntary, confidential process where a neutral mediator helps individuals or groups in conflict communicate and find a solution together. It emphasizes understanding and respecting everyone’s interests, fostering a cooperative resolution.

What is mediation?

Mediation is a process of conflict resolution in which an unbiased, third-party mediator facilitates a conversation between two or more people to help them resolve a dispute.

Mediators do not make decisions for you. Mediators establish and maintain a safe and confidential space for effective dialogue that helps participants reach an agreement on their own.

Benefits of mediation

Financial: Mediation can save you money, as it requires less or no court time and can reduce litigation costs.

Emotional: Mediation gives you more control over the process and can be less stressful than going to court.

Relational: Through offering methods and opportunities for collaboration, mediation can foster more positive relationships.

Future: Mediation provides a process for making decisions and solving problems that can be returned to when uncertainties arise down the road.
