About Estuary Mediation

Understanding mediation as a creative pursuit of peace, Dorcas wants to see relational and societal strife transformed into increased understanding, constructive dialogue, and common good.

Estuary Mediation was founded and is directed by Dorcas Lee.

As registered social workers (RSW), our services are covered by most extended health insurance companies, including most student health plans in British Columbia, with many covering up to 80% of your session. To find out if you are covered, contact your manager, insurance company, or student services.

Our approach to mediation

Estuaries are bodies of water where the freshwater of rivers and streams meet the saltwater of the sea.

When healthy, estuaries and their surrounding wetlands are thriving ecosystems—supporting diversity, absorbing turbulence, and providing refuge and provisions for transitional journeys. We believe that mediations, like estuaries, create the environment for productive and necessary work to be done amidst what may feel like colliding, disruptive forces.

We are constantly exploring how mediation can bring restoration to brokenness not just for individuals, but also communities.
